The SOUND of these tubes are Phenomenal! These GOLD-PINS are the HIGHEST ECHELON of the Tesla E88CC extinct production, TESLA's version of the "CCa". To me, they sound and are made with the same high quality as Telefunken, only they have "musicality" and a "liquid" sound, where to me, the Telefunken are quite bland and too neutral.
These Beautiful NOS TESLA 6922 E88CC GOLD-PIN MILITARY ISSUE tubes are out-of-production and were made by Tesla Ro˛nov Factory production from the former Czech Republic in 1960 -1965.

The Military issued numbers signify Ultra Low Noise suitable for the most demanding audio applications including but not limited to PHONO PREAMP, sensitive Moving-Coil Phono Stylus, and Recording. These have gold-pins and gray-coated electrostatic plates for long-life. These E88CC are steps up from 6DJ8, and have the closest matched triodes (left and right channels). The E88CC has a factory reported heater life of 7500 hours where the 6DJ8 is 5000 hours. The tubes are Military Issues made for rugged applications, like field radio equipment, sea and air force worthiness, signified by the military numbers on the tubes.
